This page explains what information PickMyWeb collects when you browse the site, build a website with us, publish it, or request a custom build — and what we do with it.
Information we collect
When you browse our site we may collect standard technical data such as your browser type, device information, IP address and pages visited. When you create an account we collect the information you provide, such as your name, email address and business details. Payment details are collected and stored by our payment processor, not by us.
Building and publishing
Building a website on PickMyWeb is free. Anything you create stays a private draft in your dashboard — it is not indexed, not linked publicly and not visible to other customers. Content becomes publicly available only when you choose to publish it on a subdomain or your own domain on a paid plan.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and manage your drafts, published websites, dashboard and subscription.
- Respond to support requests, custom build enquiries and account questions.
- Improve the platform and fix issues.
- Send account-related emails such as invoices, renewals and security alerts.
Your customers' data
Published websites can collect orders, bookings, reservations and enquiries from your own customers. That data belongs to you — you decide what is collected and how it is used, and you are responsible for the privacy notice shown on your published site. PickMyWeb stores and processes it on your behalf so your dashboard can show it to you.
Abuse protection
To stop bots and spam we record limited security signals when forms are submitted — for example a truncated IP address, timing information and the number of recent attempts from the same source. These signals are used only to rate-limit abuse and are kept for a short period.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. If you cancel, your published site goes offline and your content is retained as a draft for a reasonable period so you can resubscribe. You can ask us to delete your account and data by contacting support.
Your rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct or delete your personal information. To make a request, email us at support@pickmyweb.com.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, including access controls, encryption in transit and regular platform updates. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so please keep your account credentials safe.
